productions 09 (photo shoot, food)

stacey at... (don't worry my teeth are fixed). unfortunately it looks like i had the same bad judgment in color as my sister did for prom.

last week + was off for most of the crew of RMD but every day greg and i, for the most part, have had our hands full... like right now i really should either be working for my client or creating blood stained sheets for the murder scene being shot tomorrow night. we have booked each day for movie stuff until april 10th then we go back to 3 or 4 days a week.
this is greg caught on the fly at the Borland location.

during the "break" we finished one photo shoot which ran 7pm until 2am for just 4 pictures so we have 2 more to go at this pace. the photo shoot is with the character toshi since we have an art gallery scene in april with a show titled "mirror people".

this character in the film is presumed to be the murderer since she is a tad off and skulks about in costumes an wigs. the shoot shows her in 10ct photos emulating the emotional (and physical for the most part) state of many of the other characters in the film.

if you check out the link the first set is of toshi as herself, as birdie, as ben, then as a brassy flapper lady. besides still needing her as the character deanna then as roger we went through all our random costumes ops to choose some additional "states".

like... i have a flapper dress, kat has access to some s&m toys like a ball gag, a slew of wigs to do things like a stepford wife, a ringleader's sequined jacket and i have some kick ass feather wings to get her in a shot of innocence etc, etc...
we worked with lucien at his studio in pioneer square which of course we are also using as the scenes set location in april.
my sister works with a vineyard in the little applegate valley called longsword and maria has agreed to donate some wine for this scene. i do hope the bottles make it here in time so we can promote their label. we do a lot of turning of labels to be sure no one calls us for promotion $ down the line like, you know, when the movie plays nation wide...
yesterday (happy bday mike!) we we were able to fit in a lunch with my mom and visiting aunt ginger at barolo (only because it is dine around seattle time with the preset $15 lunches in swank locales) the food came slowly (we were there 2 hrs starting at 1130amish) but quite good. i am still burping up some truffle oil from my mushroom and asparagus risotto.
i cleaned up the letterpress shop for the shoot manana then headed to yoga, finally again, which i knew i recognized another chick from my prenatal class, she is also in my shakti yoga class.
then later that eve we brought over thai siam (best thai place in seattle, rated for more than just the food, i consider them good people/biz) to visit norah c/o mike and megan who was born on 3/12. they say she already sleeps 6hrs in the eve and she was quiet as a mouse the whole time we were there. they made it look too easy. with all these gems popping out (that part is not that easy) i think greg and i are assured to get the whacky one in the bunch.
then there was snow of all things in spring...
