frenettik 42 (film-render me dead-greg brotherton-writer-director-frenettik productions)

render me dead has been cast!
on march 3rd and 4th greg, joey, mike, megan, scott and i went out to the shoreline historical museum for saturday auditions (vicki graciously allowed greg the use of their hall). the actors read through their sides a couple times (with scott or megan); each time with new direction from greg.
joey taped audio and video; so we could double check our lasting first impressions after a great narrowing down session over beer and headshots at parker's casino (hey, it's aurora) .
adt'l auditions and calls backs were at our home the next day but far less gruelling. i believe we saw about 40 actors and found the perfect 10!
this was all very titillating!! being new to this process i thought i would have issues of uncontrollable laughter or discomfort but no, it was just obvious if the actor had potential for the role or didn't get it etc... greg thought he would have issues working with me (cuz i typically rule the roost) but no, it was great fun working together. to prove this he SUGGESTED -aka his own accord- putting in the flagstone path this week! wow.
i am putting up a simple site www.rendermedead.com found via. "frenettik productions" cuz so many people love this script that there seems to be real chances of finding investors to complete the feature length (written!) once the short is ready for marketing.
shooting is set for march 30th so there is a lot to do til then. keep checking the site for updates.
