interior design 16 (stairs/tiled risers/fir treads)

i finally bought a table saw and my construction world has been severely altered but luckily none of my fingers!
this is my new and improved stair well and east wall as you look down from the top floor.
i work project style aka the stairs are done but not the back wall cuz in my world, that's part of the next project.
i have been collecting the mx coconut masks since i was 14 so the collection has grown but they have always been hanging out in the stair well.

the landing, all the fir/wood is reused from the basement pre sauna and bar.

these talavera tiles are one of the other designs i picked up when i was tiling the kitchen. i still have hundreds left to use but i believe they are slotted for the mud room sink.
i think i called it my "studio" before but greg has officially handed over the garage to everything letterpress so my "studio" just got a couple hundred sq ft larger-yippeee.

the view looking west, heading up to the top floor.

before

i think the stairs were blue, and walls yellow when we bought the house. i then painted the walls grey and stairs black (and they also had a yr with a racer stripe down the center).
that glare, in the center, is a horribly placed light which has been removed and greg has put in 3 recessed cans for me in the ceiling (the black blob on the landing is linus -our first beloved kitkat).
